Wall Street

The Wall Street district is the financial capital of the United States and takes its name from the street by the same name that runs from Broadway southeast to South Street. The Wall Street financial district is home to the largest stock exchange in the world, the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) as well as the NASDAQ, AMEX, NYMEX and the NYBOT exchanges.

Perhaps the most famous landmark in the Wall Street financial district is the charging bull, sometimes called the Wall Street Bull. It’s a 7100 pound 11 foot tall bronze sculpture created by artist Arturo Di Modica and can be found in Bowling Green Park at the foot of Broadway.

The financial district is located in the southern tip of Manhattan.
